The Sutton Oak Welsh Chapel is a Grade II listed building nestled in the sleepy town of Sutton, near St.Helens. The chapel was built from copper slag by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1845. The materials used to make the chapel came from the copper works on the Sutton banks of St.Helens Sankey Canal.

The Sutton Oak Welsh Chapel was once one of a number of Welsh Chapels in the area, but today this is the last example of one still in use as a church.

The Church has a programme of events during the year.

Thanks to Sutton Oak Welsh Chapel Society for use of the image.
