The Taste Liverpool accredited Fairways Restaurant at Houghwood Golf, Crank near St. Helens now boasts three award winning staff and serves a Modern British style menu.

Open from Wednesdays to Sundays for Lunch & Dinner and catering for over 100 guests Fairways are proud of thier reputation for serving fine food in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. This first floor restaurant has magnificent panoramic views over the golf course and beyond and is well worth a visit.

Access is available by chairlift if required.

Road Directions

From the South - Leave M6 at junction 23 onto A580 towards Liverpool. At 3rd set of lights turn right onto A571 to Wigan (Waterside Inn on right). Follow road to Billinge untill you reach a mini roundabout, turn left into Rainford Road. After 1 mile take a right fork (Gores Lane) to a T junction. Turn right into Crank Road, over a hump back bridge & climb hill with golf course on the right. Entrance is located on the right between a stone barn & bungalow.

From the North - Leave M6 at M58 junction 26 follow signs for Wigan to T junction with traffic lights. Turn left to next set of lights (Stag Inn on right). Turn left. After 2 miles turn right into Crank Road. Continue over top of hill and entrance is on the left between bungalow and stone barn.
