The award winning CAMRA Pub of the Year - The Sutton Oak dates back to the 1930's and was known as the Boundary Vaults, the pub is situated near to St.Helens Junction and has recently been refurbished. The pub is great for all the family as it has beautiful lawned gardens and a children's play area.
The Sutton Oak always has a range of beers which is based on changing guests throughout the year, these include - George Wright, McGuiness Feathers Mild and Copper Dragon. There are usually 4 or 5 real ales on offer aswell as real cider.
The Pub has been awarded the Cask Marque Award, The Liverpool and District CAMRA Best Outlying Pub 2004/05 and Pub of the Year 2005/06. The Sutton Oak is also a member of the British Institute of Innkeeping.
The pub hosts an annual beer festival at the end of August which features around 30 real ales. The beer festival is split between the bar and a marquee in the garden.
