Inglenook Lavender Farm has a new arrival
31st January 2011
This month saw the arrival of Whitey the donkey at the Lavender Farm.

Whitey has left the show-business life of Blackpool Sands where he used to give rides to children for the peaceful life here at Lavender Farm.
He is the new companion for Lucky the sheep. Lucky was found by walkers who had come to look at the wildflower fields back in March 2010. They happened to notice him at the bottom of a very steep sided drainage ditch at the back of the farm.
He was brought back to the farm using a ladder as a stretcher who called out the Vet who said that Lucky was very sick indeed.
Lucky was put into a stable with a hot-water bottle and a heat lamp and four socks onto Lucky's legs, which were cold, and gave him a drink of hot milk and sugar.
The next morning Lucky was standing up and feeding by himself and had recovered.
To visit Lucky and friends have a look at the Lavender Farm's page.
On the farm you will find the Inglenook Tea Rooms offering delicious light refreshments, including homemade cakes, biscuits and scones plus the new Boonric Art Gallery.
You can also treat yourself from the range of organic herb teas on sale, luxury hand made vegetable soaps and a variety of essential oil based gifts made to order.
