Get in the Frame at Mash

Uncover the mystery and magic of photography and put yourself in the picture at the ‘Stills’ Photography Exhibition at Mash Art Gallery from Friday 19th June.
Mash, a brand new Art Gallery, Cafe & Cultural Hub in the George Street Cultural Quarter of St.Helens, plays host to three local photographers who will be exhibiting their work in the contemporary surroundings.
Alan Smith, Joe Speak and Luke Martley will convey their take on the photographic medium, using traditional and modern techniques to deliver an eclectic and visually stunning exhibition. Alan’s current work presents portraiture of local artisans in St.Helens, Joe’s compositions capture the spirit of live music whilst Luke presents amazing images taken on vintage cameras, including the one-time ubiquitous Box Brownie, which adds a unique classic feel to his amazing images. All-in all they represent a diverse range of images using traditional and digital processes.
Mash brings you the best of up and coming Contemporary Art, Photography & Design, plus great events and collaborations. With a cafe serving great food in relaxed surroundings and a retail area featuring handmade jewellery, prints, textiles and unique gifts, Mash is the place to see and be seen in.
