In a region synonymous with sporting success and prowess, St. Helens Rugby Football Club – The Saints – is the most successful and most exciting Rugby League club of the Super League era.

The Saints are coming home to a new state of the art 18,000 capacity stadium located in St.Helens town centre. The 2012 season kicks off in February and will be great for home fans and visitors alike, plus a worthy venue for the 2013 Rugby World Cup!

Founded in 1873, they were founder members of the breakaway Northern Union in 1895, from which the 13-a-side game we know today evolved.

They have won the Challenge Cup 12 times – most recently in 2008 – and took home the Super League championship a stunning five times.

Tickets for all home Super league matches will go on sale 6 weeks prior to the fixture.

Road Directions

Take Junction 7 and then the A570 dual carriageway towards St. Helens. At the 5th roundabout (take the 3rd exit Linkway East (A58) and 4th exit off roundabout (Peasley Cross Lane). Pass the retail park on the right hand side and take the first turn on the right after the railway bridge to arrive at the stadium.

Public Transport Directions

BY RAIL:
St Helens Central rail station is only a five minute walk from the New Stadium. The station runs frequent services from Liverpool to Wigan and Preston.

The New Stadium can be reached via a new footbridge constructed over the link way to the North of the New Stadium; the bridge can be reached by following Shaw Street and then Chalon Way East past the St Helens Chamber of Commerce.
