Fun Lovin Criminals headline free music festival.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals will be joined by Lemar, Encore and X-Factor stars Laura White, Rachel Adedeji and Daniel DeBourg at the Music Live on Saturday 27th August in Church Square, St.Helens (12 noon - 7pm).

The free star studded music festival is being organised by St.Helens Council in partnership with Radio City 96.7FM and Arriva North West.

Music festival legends Fun Lovin’ Criminals, best known for their smash hit ‘Scooby Snacks’, will be bringing their unique style of fun, music and entertainment to St.Helens straight after their V Festival main stage performance, when they shared a stage with the likes of Eminem, Rihanna, Arctic Monkeys and Plan B.

Lemar has had a run of chart success in the UK, Europe and Australia. He rose to fame after finishing in third place on the first series of British talent show Fame Academy. Since then Lemar has had 7 top ten UK singles and sold over 2 million albums. As well as awards, acclaim and sold-out shows across the UK, Lemar helped put soul back on the pop map. Six top 10 singles including ‘If There’s Any Justice’, ‘Dance (With U)’, ‘50/50’ and ‘Time To Grow’ established Lemar as a successful commercial act, and proved that British soul music had the power to go pop. Both the record industry and music fans acknowledged Lemar’s contributions with two BRIT and three MOBO awards achieved over successive years.

Fresh from touring with Jessie J and supporting NDubz on their sold out Arena tour, Encore are ready to make their mark on contemporary British pop music with release of the remarkable ‘Tit For Tat’. ‘Tit For Tat’ is released on July 17th 2011 and, true to Encore’s trademark blend, manages to combine a banging baseline and a gritty production with soulful vocal melodies, edgy rhymes and sweet harmonies.
